"The work for Hyperion is very important to me. Its founder and director, Ted Perry, has created a company with a profile. I joined in '95, concentrating on the French treasures for cello and piano. Bengt and I chose to start out with music by Godard and Boëllmann. It presents some very special moments, imagination and sensual. The last movement of the Godard sonata is like a map of Paris in the 1880's. If it is Moulin Rouge you want, then go to the middle section of his Scherzo."
