"This is a recording made in Stockholm with many of my old friends. The concerto is a mere 16 1/2 min long, but its technical difficulties - and very exposed, too! - surprised me. I had to practise a lot. It is never played in my country, so I am very grateful to have had the chance to show its worth. Dag Wirén died in 1987, but the language of the concerto is romantic and good humoured - like a divertimento."
